Heroin, or diamorphine

Heroin, or diamorphine (INN) is a type of opioid alkaloid.


Heroin is a 3.6-diacetyl derivative of morphine (that's why his name is diasetilmorfin) and synthesized by acetylation thereof. White crystalline form generally is the hydrochloride salt, diamorphine hydrochloride. Heroin can cause addiction.
