Psychotropic substances or drugs are either natural or synthetic non-narcotics, efficacious psychoactive through selective effect on the central nervous system that causes changes in mental activity and behavior (Law 5/1997). There are four classes of psychotropic according to the law, but after the enactment of Law No. 35 of 2009 on narcotics, psychotropic then Class I and II incorporated into the class of narcotics.
